Coronavirus disease globally known as Covid-19, is a viral disease. It is caused by the recently discovered corona virus. The virus is mostly spread through respiratory droplet (saliva) of an infected person, mainly by unprotected sneezing or coughing. There are other secondary ways in which the disease can be spread that is, through touching contaminated surfaces with the virus, then a person touches their face that include the mouth, eyes and nose. The virus has a very high killing potential for it can remain on  surfaces for several hours. The good news is that, the virus can be killed by disinfecting the contaminated surfaces. The other secondary control methods include the use vaccines e.g. Astra Zeneca, Johnson and Johnson's Janssen among others. The main preventive measures taken globally is to observe social distance, wearing face masks and hand washing.
