Unit II Project Concurrent Processes Matrix
Unit II Project
Concurrent Processes Matrix
Concurrent means something happening at the same time as something else. It is important for you to understand how
operating systems (OSs) share resources between concurrent processes. For this assignment, you will create a matrix
showing how concurrent processing is used in OSs.
If you are using Microsoft Word, you can develop a matrix using the product from Microsoft.com. For an example of how to create a matrix using Microsoft Word, see the Microsoft.com explanation by clicking the link below.

You may use another computer software program that you are familiar with to create the matrix. However, you must submit
your assignment in a Microsoft Word document.
This assignment needs to be at least two pages, including the diagram with two paragraphs of explanation. The explanation
should cover the steps or inner workings of a process (e.g., scheduling, creation, and termination) in the execution of a
program. Show and explain the purpose of threading as it relates to a process. Describe the similarities and differences
between processes and threads.
Your reference page does not count toward meeting the total page requirement.
All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying
citations and be cited per APA style.
