This assignment is about considering various organizations you could “consult to” on developing new data-driven value streams, then selecting one. Identify a company or other organization you are familiar with and/or where you have access to someone who addresses its business model, challenges, and opportunities, and share sufficient details about key data it collects, generates, and uses. After you have selected an organization, collect various information about it and its key data assets per the following instructions and using the template provided.

Q1. Identify potential organizations for your project, and assess them using the following criteria and select one of these organizations for your project.
Q2. Identify the individual(s) from this organization who have committed to supporting and being interviewed by you.
Q3. Gather the following background information on the organization and document it on the “Organization” worksheet.
Q4. Gather information about its key data assets and document it on the “Data Assets” worksheet. Note that the more types of data you learn about and the more detail you gather on them, the easier it will be to identify new value streams from them. On the other hand, collecting information on too many data assets will make this assignment difficult. (8-12 different data assets should be enough for this exercise.) Types of data may include customer data, transaction data, process data, financial data, HR data, website data, documents, etc. The kinds of metadata about them you should collect and document include:
