Complete a ten-page (no thesis and outline page) paper for the selected biblical passage. Bibliography pages do not count toward the pagination requirement.
The paper must be formatted according to the current edition of the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers and the “Guidelines for Exegetical Papers.” The paper should be uploaded to the class site in Microsoft Word, rich text, or Open Office format. The word processing program Pages allows users to save their files in these formats. The paper will be graded according to the criteria provided in the Exegetical Paper Grading Rubric.

The paper contains an example of a thorough and accurate word study on a significant word(s) in the text (correct identification of original language word; accurate description of the word’s frequency and usage; accurate definitions; plausible conclusions and application of data learned from the study)
