Who are the influencers in your field (social media stars, industry leaders, trendsetters, "the ones to watch" etc.)? In other words, who should you be following to spots trends in your field? Write a blog post (intro, body, conclusion) introducing these people/organizations (5-7) to an audience interested in going into your field. Provide links to their websites, blogs, podcasts, etc. and a short description of why you chose each. For example, I might write:

Nancy Duarte is the CEO of Duarte and a "thought leader" who has written several books on communication skills. She is a sought-after speaker and her company helps business industry leaders create and perfect their presentation skills. 

Objectives

• Improve research skills by identifying various industry-specific sources such as academic journals, professional publications, LinkedIn groups, social media influencers and industry leaders.
• Understand more about your field of interest to become a knowledgeable professional.
• Become familiar with various types of business writing.
