4. You are a claims specialist for YYZ
Insurance Company and your policyholder has purchased a trampoline to be placed
in their backyard. They tell the
neighbor’s kids they cannot use the trampoline, but while the policyholder was
on vacation one of the neighbor’s kids jumped on the trampoline and fell,
breaking his arm. Who is negligent? Include in your answer a review of the four elements
that prove negligence.(20 points)
5. In past few years, a number of
high-profile retail businesses (e.g., Target, Home Depot) have been subject to
personal information hacking. Explain
the application of e-commerce risk on these companies and how they can manage
the risk. What level of recourse does
the patron have against the company (if any)? (20 points)
6. Explain a CGL policy. Include the different parts of the policy and
also explain how it’s different from a BPP policy. (10 points)

For
your Risk Management Paper you have the choice of one of two assignments.
1)
A term paper discussing the evolution of risk management in publicly traded
corporations from a silo approach to an approach using the three lines of
defense model. This model is discussed
in the attached IIA position paper.
2)
A case analysis either describing how the three lines of defense model is
currently being used in a publicly traded company, or how you would implement a
three lines of defense model within your organization.
The
syllabus states the length requirement as 3-7 pages. Page count does not include: title page,
bibliographies, tables or graphs.
Double spaced bullet lists are especially despised by this instructor as
a method of building page count, so a word count of 250 words per page is used
for content pages in establishing the length of the submission. T
