Discuss the following observation regarding the value of applying modern airborne remote sensing technologies to historic maps, plats, and other spatial documents while conducting archaeological research and discovery.

When registered in a common grid system, diverse data sets, including those from airborne remote sensing and near surface geophysics, may be compared and analyzed.
