Develop a two page paper (typed and double-spaced) that demonstrates your understanding of service delivery, the role of policy in service delivery, and the role of practice in policy development. Also, describe the appropriate social welfare programs which are relevant for one of the following cases and show how to analyze, formulate, and advocate for policies that advance social well-being. You may have to research the community and determine what services are available. Include discussion of eligibility, benefits, and the adequacy of the available services.

DAVIS FAMILY

Single-parent family headed by Jane Davis, 24 years old. There are two children, Rodney is 4 years old, and Samantha is 2 years old. Jane is currently unemployed, did not work long enough to be covered by Unemployment Insurance, has exhausted all of her savings, and receives no alimony or child support. The family is temporarily staying at a Salvation Army shelter, but must leave at the end of the month. For what services/interventions might the Davis family be eligible? What do you recommend? What social work skills would you utilize to effectively engage this client?
