Using Behavior Therapy analyze a case study and create a counseling intervention proposal based on a counseling theory and the American Counseling Association Multicultural Counseling Competencies. Reflective in nature students must cite current research using the American Psychological Association from journal articles (2012 – 2017) to support their response.

Systematic Desensitization
Based on classical conditioning, SD was developed by Joseph Wolpe
SD is effective in reducing maladaptive anxiety and treating anxiety-related disorders, particularly specific phobias
