Final Reflection: What is Europe?:Building upon their first reflection piece, students will be obliged to produce a final reflection where they discuss what they think Europe is or whether the element they chose to highlight is a good example of European-ness. This 3-4 page response MUST:Reference their initial response, explicitly noting whether they still agree with what they had answered at the beginning of the term, and why or why not their understanding has evolved; Explicitly reference at least 3 events discussed in class lectures and explain how these events lead to a more complete understanding of what Europe is and how its identity has been shaped by historical events. Students are also encouraged to undertake outside reading to support their response and strengthen their argument, though this is not a requirement.
