MEDIA ANALYSIS: Your assignment is to maintain a folder or notebook in which you will include newspaper or magazine articles related to criminal justice in the U.S. Students completing this assignment should:There are four assigned media analysis assignments. You may use newspapers or magazines, on-line or print as your source. Locate an article or editorial about some current topic or event or issue involving criminal justice. Try and apply information you’ve learned in the class room and/or in the text book. This is an analysis of the article and not just a summary. So while you might want summarize what was in the article, you still need to give your opinion on what was written. Was the article on point and correct? Was the opinion of the author the same your opinion? Was something left out that should have been included? I would suggest that your assignment should be about 2-3 pages in length. Number your pages. Give it a title. Double space and indent your paragraphs. At the end, include the full APA style reference. Include the article with the assignment.
