This often changes overtime when the company hires new people and developing new traits, they incorporate into their business that benefit employees and customers.A good boss is one who considers the feelings of not only the customer but most importantly the employees. A boss that is strict but also flexible and understand that everyone makes mistakes but explains what needs to be done or changed in a calm understanding way. Good culture is when the boss or coworkers can put themselves in other people shoes and understand where others come from in terms of dealing with conflicts or everyday work tasks.The job experiences I have had regarding culture is very understanding and flexible. I can discuss any concerns I have had to my boss or coworkers. We have an open relationship with the job at hand and I know what is expected of me. If I would change anything I would say more recognition for what I do right as opposed to what I constantly do wrong, if I constantly hear criticism this doesn’t give me the motivation I need to perform my job to the best of my ability.To help better motivate employees I would give more recognition to those who constantly work hard and do a good job. Also, if we are having a good week or month maybe celebrate or surprise employees with donuts or a sandwich platter for lunch. Even going to grab a coffee for everyone, just anything to help boost morale especially if we are having a great week or month.Businesses that I have visited where employees look happy often are medical field businesses, clothing stores, and smaller businesses. This is mainly because smaller businesses and medical field employees need to have better customer service since they not only represent themselves but the whole hospital or store and even medical field or industry. The businesses I have visited where workers did not look happy are often fast food workers like jack in the box, subway, etc. Most of the time its just one or two employees who have had a bad day or you can see they just do not like their job.RESPONSE 2Define Culture in Business?When it comes to culture in Business it is just like any other culture it relies on certain factors that distinguish one culture from another. You can have a positive or a negative culture in a business it all just depends on those factors. For example, quality characteristics of a good culture in a business are such as the company’s values/ethics. An ideal company culture would have values that include honesty, teamwork, respect, commitment, and many more. The companies with no ethic/values is sure to fail sooner or later.What makes a good boss? And Good Culture?The characteristics that create a great boss are many but one that is essential is leadership. Leadership by itself does not guarantee the title of a great boss but the ability to lead a group of people is in a league of its own. A great boss has the qualities such as being confident, passionate, trustworthy, determined, and having empathy towards others. A great boss is important to have in order to also have a great company culture as his/her characteristics will rub off on their employees. Share your experiences at a job or those of friends, family regarding the culture at a specific job. For example, how was the boss? Was he or she fair, or were there favorites? Did employees enjoy working there, etc??I am currently working for an aerospace company and my experiences have been nothing but positive ones. I started working there in the first week of September till this day and plan to keep the job because of the company culture. I’ve seen how the company treats its workers and handles situations. With all that said the company has definitely shown it’s true colors right now because of the epidemic. We work with military aircrafts the most so it makes us essential workers and the company’s owner and management have shown it’s appreciation of it’s employed by handing out bonuses to help out with the virus situation. The owner and management are all fair and reasonable which makes it enjoyable to work there. Every person has their own perspective on the company but for me I see nothing but positives. Based on Ch 8What can employers do to better motivate employees?The number one thing that I believe will be the most effective when it comes to motivating employees is to understand them on a personal level. Those companies that are understanding of their employees on a personal level having a better relationship with them. What this relationship between the employer and employee creates is a trustworthy bond. Trust is one the most difficult if not the most difficult to get from individuals. If the employee feels like their employer has their backs that will boost them to work that much harder because of the great culture they have. Also the answer is not paying more money, plenty of people make good money and hate their jobs and are not motivated.List some popular businesses that you have visited where the employees looked happy and also where they didn’t look happy? Explain why?Some popular businesses that I have seen the employees look happy is at the Chick fil a restaurant. This place has a reputation of having A1 customer service which in return give off a positive response to the employees. One place where I noticed that the employees looked not so happy working there is at a McDonalds. The day when I noticed the McDonalds employee looking frustrated was a busier day at McDonald that usual. If anything I would guess that the amount of stress and workload was frustrating them.
