Synthesis of drama, novel, and film

**How are these artists contributing to our knowledge about the scientific discovery of human creation?

For this essay, Ill ask that you to explain how three works of science fiction (a novel, a play, and a film) all contribute to your understanding of how our society will confront and adapt to technology and the future.  In Mary Shelleys Frankenstein (1818) we see the mad scientist create life; In Rossums Universal Robots (R.U.R.)(1920) we observe the creation of a race of robots; In Ex Machina (2015) we see the scientific discovery of Artificial Intelligence and robotics taken to the extreme.  Synthesize what you learn in each one individually to help you find a broader idea about technology and the future, sharing with us how each thought experiment helps us imagine the possible range of effects and side effects of technological advancement
**Focus Question:
How do Frankenstein, R.U.R, and Ex Machina all contribute to a discussion on the creation of human life through science, allowing each to add something to the conversation on the ultimate scientific discovery–what me might call human creationism?  OR if you feel these texts are all riffing on another topic, feel free to explain how theyve contributed to your understanding of Blank (topic created by you), i.e. technological innovation, human relationships, scientific discovery…

How to do it:   
-By means of your essay, you will join the conversation about scientific creationism (or other topic created by you), analyzing what each author is saying through his work about this project.
-Consider how each genre is able to unveil something different on the topic.
-Focus on the literature, while using the others sources to deepen your understanding of issues as it relates to multiculturalism.
-Come up with a comprehensive meaning, what each work is saying about scientific creationism or other topic.
-Synthesize your understanding of each work, to complete your analysis.

Goals:
-Use knowledge of literary terms/conventions to deepen your understanding.
-Improve your Reading Process, specifically close reading and synthesis
-Review Essay structure and organization and development
-Use Quotations from film/play/novel in your essay: Introduce, Incorporate, and Interpret them
-The body paragraphs have a clear points which are developed with specific examples from the literature and explanation of those examples is well developed and focused.
-Sentences: Write clear and effective sentences, considering the approaches to sentence modification you have learned throughout the quarter. Be sure to combine ideas using verbal phrases
