At minimum your proposal should 1.) identify main film(s) and at least one aspect of Lee’s work (i.e. aesthetics, politics, and/or authorship) your project will discuss; 2.) a “thesis” statement that articulates a critical, argumentative position your project will take viz. Lee, his films, aesthetics, politics, or authorial practices. These requirements should be met from wherever in the process you are at; i.e. these are not binding commitments but decisions (albeit potentially tentative) aimed at establishing a starting point for your work.
