35965Technology has taken over every segment of business in one way or another, and it is constantly changing. Have you heard about how Amazon is thinking of putting flying blimps in the sky to accommodate drone product delivery? One of my biggest pet-peeves is telemarketing calls. I won’t even answer the phone if it is from a number I do not recognize. Thanks to technology, the name and phone number pops up on my phone/TV so I can tell who it is before I even attempt to answer. Are you one of these people too? Thank goodness for voice mail. Then, there are all those calls to try to get your bank and/or credit card information, which have proven to be forms of “hacking.”
So, in this day and age, what is a business supposed to do when they rely on technology to grow or service their business? How can they keep customer information private with all the fraud going on? Then research the Internet for consumer fraud. Make sure you include the URL of any web site you use in your discussion. Do you believe the businesses mentioned in “Trending Now” should be concerned with consumer information being stolen by others? Why or why not? How would you protect yourself against such theft?
