remain current with these developments, education for nurses must be
continually evaluated and faculty must restructure the curricula to prepare
graduates for professional nursing practice. Nurse educators are
responsible for keeping up with the field of education, in both theory and
practice. Developing a curriculum is a major task and an ongoing process.
Even after a new curriculum has been implemented, it must be monitored
and assessed, outcomes must be evaluated, and modifications are usually
necessary.
The challenge of curriculum development is to envision the future of
health care and nursing education based on evidence and best practices.
Yes, the development of a new curriculum is demanding, and implementing
a new curriculum is never easy. But development of a new curriculum is a
powerful tool for change and an exciting time for those involved.

3) Clinical nurse administrators or educators from the nursing program practice sites
4) Community members to ensure the needs of the community are addressed and the curriculum change is supported
The curriculum team may also include curriculum experts, subject specialists, political leaders, and representatives from the board of nursing and/or accrediting bodies.
