40749Your first Lesson Report Essay:
I chose Lesson 5 for your first report because I want you to pay careful attention to the worldviews and the ideas about the purpose of government, as you will need that information for the rest of the semester. When you write the Lesson Report for Lesson 5, I want you to also write about what you learned in Lesson 4. You should be able to tell me something about all three of the primary worldviews in the U.S. as presented in the lesson materials, and both of Lakoff’s parenting models of government (as the latter apply to views about the purpose of government).
What to write and how to write it:
For these essays, I expect that you will cover the reading material and the lesson videos. If there is more than one reading assignment, you must cover them all.
• I will be looking for main points and most important concepts. It’s up to you to figure out what those are.
• Direct quotes are not allowed. They are a waste of word count and do not show me that you understand the material. Paraphrase!
