*Task 1: Considering the various types of emergencies discussed in your readings this week, consider a known terrorist group who has committed at least ONE terrorist act against a medium- or high-rise building from 2014-2019. BEFORE YOU SELECT an incident, you must be sure that no one else is covering it [Suggestion: Create a thread with your incident asap; then edit thread to add other task answers.] N.B. If you choose the same incident as someone else, you will not get credit.
a. Briefly describe who the attacker(s) was(were), what weapons were used and the results.
b. Then, use all 3 required readings (Craighead, 2009c ( CHAPTER 3); Department of Homeland Security, 2012; FDNY Center for Terrorism and Disaster Preparedness, 2011) and at least 1 of the 3 supplemental/enrichment materials ( FEMA, 2017; Federal Safety Solutions, 2013; Safety Care Online, 2013) to answer both of these questions:
1 . Given what happened in the described incident, what are the two most likely types of threats implemented by this terrorist organization that places high-rise buildings in particular at risk today?
2. What practical actions should be taken to prevent or lessen the threats you suggest?
