Vulnerabilities and Threats to U.S. Government Facilities

41823As security professionals working with or around the U.S. Government, few courses have the relevancy of Protecting U.S. Government Facilities (SCMT302). As we begin this course, it is important to familiarize yourself with the vulnerabilities and threats to U.S. Government Facilities around the world. It is important to review the frequency of attacks, as well as their locations and the tactics used. Rarely can you watch the news and not be reminded of the threat of terrorism, espionage, civil unrest, and natural disasters around the globe and the security and safety challenges that come with them.

Your first forum assignment of the course requires you to discuss in detail the who, what, where, when, how, and why of a select physical security related event that has occurred anywhere in the world, associate with a U.S. Government Facility, during the last 12 months. Also, discuss what physical security measure worked and what did not work and how you would correct vulnerability.
•Provide evidence from the weekly readings to support your arguments via APA parenthetical citations.
