For each variable, classify it in the three ways (Quantitative/Qualitative, Discrete/Continuous, Level of Measurement).
For example, salary is reported as a continuous quantitative, ratio-scaled variable.
1. Salary (e.g. $53,000.00)
2. Gender (e.g. female)
3. Sales volume of MP3 players (e.g. 34,552)
4. Soft drink preference (e.g. lemonade)
5. Temperature (e.g. 87.24°F)
6. SAT scores (e.g. 1584)
7. Student rank in class (e.g. 3rd)
8. Rating of a finance professor (e.g. 3.5 out of 5)
9. Number of home computers (e.g. 2)
10. Pain felt by a patient (1 to 10)
Grading: Each variable is worth 10 points. Columns 1 and 2 are worth 3 points each, column 3 is worth 4 points.
