Your task for Week 8 is to complete and hand in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that contains pertinent quantitative calculations regarding the case study. Specifically, you should calculate:

Sales
Depreciation Expense
Ongoing Maintenance and Repair
Cost of Goods Sold
Gross Profit
Selling Cost
General and Administrative Cost
Net Operating Profit Before Tax
Income Tax Expense
Net Income
Investment in Working Capital
Future Value of Operating Cash Flows
You will need to take the information provided in the case study to derive the figures for each item listed above. You should complete the assignment in the Excel template that has been provided and submit the spreadsheet with calculations. You need to determine the figures that are to be placed in each cell that is highlighted. For this week, you need to complete the sections highlighted in yellow. The sections in blue are to be completed in Week 10 and submitted as part of the Final Project.

As you can see, the template includes a space for each item listed above. You are to determine the amounts for each item over the life of the project and include these within the template. Because you will complete this portion of the project in Excel, you will have the ability to perform calculations easily by writing the formulas. It is important that you do so that the Instructor can properly analyse your work and detect where errors were made. You will receive a solution spreadsheet from the Instructor in Week 9. This spreadsheet will provide you with the Week 8 solutions and a template to perform the calculations that will be due in Week 10.
