Environmental Ethics

39147Description

In this assignment, you will participate in a discussion with your classmates about environmental ethics in the world today.

When responding to the discussion questions, be sure to reference course materials to support your conclusions and opinions. You should also do the same whenever you respond to another person’s discussion post. By doing so, you not only make a stronger case, but support your own learning. You will be evaluated on how well you support your claims.

Instructions

1. Post your responses to the following questions to the Discussion Board:

Choose a potential course of action related to the environment, whether it is a personal decision such as buying a hybrid car, a corporate decision such as using a particular chemical in a product, or a government decision such as changing an environmental policy. Make a prediction as to the effects of this decision.
What do you think Kant would say about the action’s moral worth?
What do you think a utilitarian thinker would say about it?
What harm might result from this decision?

It needs to be conversational as this is a discussion post
