A simulation model for trying to reduce the temperature rise on our planet

Go to this interactive website: https://en-roads.climateinteractive.org/scenario.html, which is a simulation model for trying to reduce the temperature rise on our planet, developed by scientists at MIT. Notice we are on track to have global temperatures rise by 3.6 degrees Celsius (6.5 F) by 2100. In order to not experience catastrophic climate affects, we have to limit this rise to 2 degrees Celsius! Can you make changes in the different categories to try to get to only a 2 degree rise? What does it take? How long did it take you to achieve this goal? What did you change to get to the limit? 

(2)  How do you imagine the future with respect to public health and climate change? What public health threat are you MOST concerned with? What will happen to health disparities… which sub-populations might bear the biggest health burden? 

(3)  What changes, if any, are you making in your own life and/or in your community to combat climate change? Explain how this change actually reduces greenhouse gas emissions or increases sequestration off carbon. If you’re not yet making any changes yet, what would be the most important one to start with and why?
