History of the Evil Eye symbol (myth)

I need a paper written about the myth of the Evil Eye. I need it to include the origins of the myth and symbol. Need to explain how it has surfaced across different cultures from ancient to modern day. Must include how it shows up in at least two disciplines for example art, movies, music, television, film or literature. I know it shows up in art like decorations and jewelry most commonly but not sure how it shows up in other disciplines. Quote sources if possible. Also include a creative element to the myth by creating your own modern myth using it.
