What does post-modern art look like? Locate in your textbook an image, object, or building that uses appropriation (review the definition as necessary) to create a new work. In what ways is the artist’s use of that pre-existing image, object, or style different from the original intent and use of the thing that inspired it?
What new idea(s) is the artist suggesting through the use of that image? Can you locate an image of the original work that may have inspired it? Be sure to include all images or links to those images in your post. You can find a discussion of post-modern art on p. 190 of your textbook. Although, as you’ll see as you complete your readings, many other artworks from the chapter can be included in this context.
