This module covers the frameworks of religious marketplace theory and three types of new religious movements. Use the specific frameworks provided in the lecture to analyze one of the assigned new religious movements in the United States listed below. Each student is assigned one NRM in the following list. Students should conduct online research about their assigned NRM listed below and then respond: The posting should provide an introduction to the movement, answer where does it fit in the Wallis’ spectrum of NRMs, and answer whats the problem/issue addressed by the NRM and whats the solution that is offered by the NRM?

Students should demonstrate their knowledge and comprehension of the material in Module 5 by making a sound argument from the data thus far. Grammar will be considered. For full scoring, students must demonstrate that they have researched the NRM and can adequately apply the theoretical frameworks in the lecture of Module 5.
