13041Assignment Introduction: You are the practice manager of a multispecialty provider group. Your group has a large patient population but has not been involved in any value-based care agreements. You have been approached by one of the payers to initiate a shared savings agreement with them.
Assignment Directions:
You will prepare a 6- to 8-minute video presentation (PowerPoint or other preferred tool) that provides a compelling argument to senior leadership, such as the chief executive officer (CEO) and chief operating officer (COO), and your provider leaders as to why you should start this transition to value-based care.
In the presentation, discuss why this is an important transition for the success of the multispecialty group. Assume that this group has remained independent and not owned by a larger organization with more funding.
You should include a discussion of the relative trends in reimbursement, and how this change may be imminent.
Further, discuss how this transition may align with your current accreditation and focus on quality patient care.
Lastly, highlight why quality, overall, is an important element of this transition.
