IMPORTANT: Be sure to click “Clear All” at the top of the NORS Dashboard page, then check just the “Food” box at the top of the page where it says, “What types of outbreaks would you like to include?”  This way you will only select foodborne outbreaks. Follow the search requirements in each question carefully.  Make sure your search criteria at the top of the page matches what you intended to search for. Some of the answers can be obtained in the “Quick Stats- Current Filters” block; to answer others you must view the data in Tabular Form and download it in Excel format. To do this, enter your search criteria then scroll down and click on “Download current search data [Excel]” to get your answers. Double check your work to ensure you have selected the correct criteria! Important reminder – if it says ‘single state outbreaks only’ be sure to choose that under the ‘State’ option, otherwise it will include data for multi-state outbreaks too.
