Part A ST – Final Draft Final Project Paper For this assignment, your tasks are: The entrepreneurial spirit will be demonstrated in this assignment, (1) create a product or (2) business you would like to start, or (3) an existing organization you would like to work for that demonstrates the entrepreneurship spirit in their existing products line or service. The Shark Tank components for this paper are: 1. Organizational Summary Summarize what our business is expecting to accomplish and include a mission statement, description of the product line or service, why are your starting the business and describe your background and experience in the industry. 2. Human Resource Analysis Human Resource planning is a strategic plan that involves addressing specific needs within the organization based on the strategic direction of the company. You must determine current and future staffing needs for your product or service. 3. Marketing Analysis This is the area that you understand the industry by demonstrating the strengths of the company, description with data and industry trends or themes. What are other businesses doing in the industry? Start visualizing your target customers for product or service, who is your target market and why? 4. Financial Analysis This is the data that will demonstrate how you will finance your company. Financially, how much monies will you need to start, grow and operate the business? 5. SWOT Analysis The SWOT Analysis helps you analyze your company’s capabilities against the “real world” business environment. This will direct your business towards areas where your capabilities are and your opportunities are great. This is where you demonstrate the strength, weakness, opportunities, and threats to your organization. There is a diagram in the Content Section. (Rough) Draft Paper: 40 Points (8 Points per Component) Complete a full paper addressing components #1 through #5 above. (Final) Paper: 60 Points (12 Points per Component) Apply all the feedback given for the Rough Draft to improve the quality of your paper. Live Power Point Presentation: 50 Points The PowerPoint presentation will be maximum of 5 to 7 minutes, if you were presenting in a classroom setting; each student will create a PowerPoint presentation from their Shark Tank Final Paper assignment. Assignment Guidelines: Rough and Final Draft • 12-point text size, Times New Roman font • Double-spaced, 3 pages, 1” margins • Proper APA Formatting: Helpful Hint: (Page 1. APA Title Page, Page 2. Abstract, Page 3. Start the paper, Page 7. Reference page). Don’t forget to add the Running head, Page Numbers, In-text citations, punctuation & grammar, Introduction, Body, Summary and Conclusion. • Eliminate: contractions (can’t, wouldn’t, didn’t, etc.), first person (I, we, us, my, etc.) • Minimum of 2 references. • The total APA pages are 6 pages and 3 pages are written material. Part B ST – Final Project Presentation Slide Deck Assignment Guidelines: Power Point The Power Point should have at least 8 slides to include an Introduction, Summary and Conclusion (3 slides) the remaining 5 slides should be informational which will include the 5 components of the Shark Tank Final Paper. The successful power point will have contrasting colors, pictures, limit the number of words on each slide and bullet points. No references or citations for the Power Point
