This assignment provides you the opportunity to make a Data Flow Diagram based on a narrative.
NARRATIVE:
The Superstore company is in the process of developing a new Superstore Inventory management system
(SIMS). At end of each day, manager, (Mark) generates inventory report that tells him:
• How much inventory should have been used.
• Items associated with each sale.
Manul inventory system is:
1. Meet delivery trucks before opening the restaurant.
2. Unload and store deliveries.
3. When Mark receives invoices from suppliers, he records their receipt on an invoice log sheet and files.

4. Log invoices and file in accordion file.
5. Manually add amounts received to stock logs.
6. After closing, print inventory report.

1. Draw a Use case diagram for the following scenario by using Visio or any diagram editor: (5

Fly-by Night Take-out Pizza wants to install a system to record orders for pizza and chicken
wings. When a customer calls on the phone, they are asked for their phone number. For
regular customers, when the number is typed into the computer, the customer info is printed on
the screen and the system is ready to accept the order. For a new customer, the customer info
is requested and inputted into the computer and the system is ready to accept the order. Once
the order is taken, the receipt is printed (with the amount and delivery charges included). From
time to time, special discounts are given to regular customers and this is included in the receipt.
The order is given to the cook which prepares and completes the order. The order is given to
the driver who delivers the pizza and gives the customer the receipt and collects the payment.
Weekly totals are kept for the purposes of comparison with last year’s performance.
