In regards to the stages, I am curious about the stages, just as the theory states that career choice is a developmental theory because is ever changing, well, I am not sure if the stages or phases are defined or might be fluid. So, according to your post, Super says that during 14-24 years of age, an individual is investigating and learning basically who he/she is, their interests, their skills, and they are making a construct of the person they are becoming and basically, of who they are, they are finding that identify, especially in the workforce, and then from 25-44 years old, is where the foundational creation occurs, this is where the individual is working hard and maintaining a job, they are mastering their skills and solidifying their carriers, to then finalize with the idea of working their couple of last decades prior retirements, however, what happens with the midlife crisis, which the average middle age is 45(ish), which although is not a diagnosis or a event that happens to everyone, it is a common sentiment that at this age and state in life, a crisis happens where, men and women, start questioning if what they have been doing for the last 20 or 30 years is what they needed to do, or if they should continue, or if they should do something different, take a different direction for their last years, decades in the workforce.
