1. Hardworking: I spend 6 hours a day baking at my externship, and I also excel at my college classes. I take care of my two kids after work each day, supervising their schoolwork during the school year.
2. Creative: I am known at work for my creativity. I came up with a twist on a brownie recipe that has resulted in our bakery selling out of brownies most days.
3. Intelligent: I learn new skills quickly and I never forget what I have learned. Often, classmates will ask for my help if they don’t understand a concept.
4. Dependable: I wake up early each day for my shift at Cookies & More and arrive at work by 6 am. I have never missed a day of work and I was only late once due to traffic.
5. Leadership: At my previous job, I was in charge of hiring and motivating my kitchen staff. This was a high-stress position, but I got along with everyone and often helped my staff resolve their conflicts with each other.

4. Asking for help at home: It will be tough for me to commit to going to conventions (when they are not virtual). This will be tough because I am a single mother, but I can talk to family members who could step in and help with my children while I am away
.5. Asking for help at work: I really have a hard time asking for assistance when I need it. I need to remind myself that other staff can pitch in.
