Second, save a copy of the form. Third, select a disaster you would like to learn more about (TSUNAMI’S), and as you research this
disaster, draft key details about the disaster in the form. In other words, the disaster you select will serve as the basis for
completing the form. Finally, complete the form by following these guidelines.
1. In the “Map/Sketch” section, describe the disaster by including the cause, the resulting damage, and how the damage
impacted the community.
2. In the “Current and Planned Actions, Strategies, and Tactics” section, explain how you would manage the event you
selected (consider the SMART method in your discussion).
3. In the “Current Organization” section, include personal characteristics that you would want in each role to have.
Consider what type of knowledge and skills they should possess.
4. In the “Resource Summary” section, describe the type of resources you would need for this disaster.
Note: On the Incident Briefing form, there are more sections than the four listed above. Anything not listed above is not
required, but you can still fill the entire form out if you would prefer.
