Watch any two of the following filmed stage plays to answer the questions below:

· In the Heights

· Jitney

IMPORTANT:  You must answer ALL questions for credit. 

1.   Compare your two chosen plays on plot, theme, and characters.  (Write at least 250 words.)

2.  Compare your two chosen plays on dialogue, music/rhythm, and spectacle.  (Write at least 250 words.)

3.  Compare your two chosen plays on convention, genre, and audience.  (Write at least 250 words.)

4.  Addressing literary elements such as initial incident, rising action, climax, denouement, story organization, and language, explain which of the two plays is your favorite and why.  (Write at least 250 words.)

5.   Explain how technical elements such as scenery, costumes, sound, and makeup, help to advance the plot or theme of either or both of your chosen plays.  (Write at least 250 words.)

6. Explain how performance elements such as acting, character motivation, empathy, vocal expression, gestures, or facial expression help to advance the plot or them of either or both of your chosen plays.  (Write at least 250 words.
