This is a research proposal paper, but for this assignment is just the Literature Review part. I have uploaded scholarly journals 1-6 and a copy of the literature review assignment along with a copy of the compare and contrast form. The compare and contrast form are just to guide you is what is being asked from each individual journal. There is also another attachment of Finding per Journal, I give definitions of what’s being asked from the journals .This is to be done in Chicago style of Social sciences
Compare and Contrast in this order:
Journals 1 and 2
Journals 3 and 4
Journals 5 and 6
Remember when comparing and contrasting:
a) Compare/contrast articles where possible example:
Smith (1988) and Jones (1990) both research the effects of church attendance frequency on opinion about abortion. In addition, Smith researches the effects of gender on opinion about abortion, but Jones does not. Instead, Jones also researches the effects of race on opinion about abortion.
b) Paraphrase. Do not copy sentences directly from the article or the article‟s abstract. Give meaning, not quotes. Literature reviews should never contain word-for-word quotes
c) For each article or group of articles, state the most important/relevant points first Use a simple organization: (a) main point; (b) main ideas or results; (c) conclusions/recommendations of the author(s).
d) You may need to include an author‟s supporting evidence, but be general
e) You must use linking sentences and/or paragraphs when you write about articles that do not otherwise combine well with your discussion of other articles
f) series of article summaries strung together, one after the other with no coherent overall theme or explanation of relevance, will NOT receive a passing grade. There must be an overall coherent theme to your literature review.
g) Summarize an article rather than write a table of contents of what is in the article. Example: Wrong: This article covers point X. Then the article covers point Y. Right: Glacial advances have been rapid as shown by x, y, and z.
h) Do not give your own ideas or opinion.
i) The literature review should be about five or six pages in length, not counting your reference list
j) Remember to include a full reference list using the Chicago style for Social Sciences.
