In the second part of this week's discussion, we will discuss what it's like having a career in sports. Please see the links below to a series of three articles from SportsBusiness Journal. Though the sources may be from 2008, they are still extremely relevant today. Ironically, very few students follow the strategies identified in the articles. Those that do, set themselves apart from their competition and have a distinct advantage in the hiring process.

After reviewing the articles, please share your thoughts with the class. Based on what you read, is working in sports what you thought it would be? After reading the articles, are you more or less interested in a career in sports? Finally, if you are still interested in a career in sports, please list and describe a few things about you that would set you apart from other candidates.
