Does your city or your state have a climate action plan? Look here (Links to an external site.)for states. Do an online search of “[city name]” and “climate action plan”. If your city is large, look here (Links to an external site.) to see if it is participating in the C40 initiative.
What are actions being proposed to combat the effects of climate change locally? This info should pop up in the above internet searches.

Go back to your Ecological Footprint and recall how many tons of carbon dioxide you emit each year OR
Go to the EPA carbon calculatorLinks to an external site. and get a more accurate estimate
Where does your electricity come from? How much is from fossil fuels, how much is from renewables?

For Oregon specific data: Use the Oregon.gov page on electricity productionLinks to an external site. – Navigate to the ERM by Utility tab to find your utility’s energy mix – there is a ton of info here so take your time to explore a little!
For the rest of the world: there’s no one great resource, so google and let us know what you find out!
