I hope everyone is having a great week!
Non-repudiation is one of the most important aspects of communication whether that be a text message you sent or an online money transfer form bank to bank. In todays world, we send communications all day every day therefore in a security aspect we all need to know the threats and attacks that affects non-repudiation.
Transaction 1. The first transaction that I will be discussing will be the monthly transfer of money form my checking account to my high-yield bank account that is under a different bank. When I send my hard earned money to my savings account, I need to know the information was not interfered with. This is incredibly important because if non-repudiation is not achieved when I submit a money transfer, the bank can deny the validity of the sender and can doubt the integrity of the data.
Transaction 2. The second transaction I will discuss would be an email that I sent to my commander. Non-repudiation is extremely important because this email was important to operations therefore we would need to see the validity of the message. Also, with my digital signature attached to t he email, my commander can see the integrity of the data.
Transaction 3. The third transaction I will be discussing will be when I made an online transaction to purchase my AK-47. This is very important because when purchasing a gun, you want to make sure all of your information is correct or something bad could happen. If the data is interfered with, then a gun could be bought and sent to a random gun store under a different name.
