Week 4 State v. Federal Government and Policymaking

In this discussion we will focus on policymaking and the structure of the state and federal governments.

In your post please explain:

1. The role of the state and federal government in making and changing policy. In your explanation you must use an example to illustrate the structure and powers of state government versus federal government.

3. What are the benefits and/or challenges to policies being regulated and addressed at the state versus federal level? Please demonstrate these benefits/challenges through an example.

You may use the same example to address both questions.
