Prepare a 2 page summary of the article

Prepare a 2 page summary of the article in your own words including specifics regarding the overall purpose of the research in question, a clear statement of the researcher’s hypothesis, details regarding the study methodology, and pertinent results of the manipulation. Also include your personal opinion of the work. Should it be repeated/ how can it be improved? What was your overall impression of the work? What are the implications of the study? Be sure to cite the article appropriately at the end of your review. Papers should be typed, double-spaced, and formatted according to APA Style.

Rubric Criteria:

Introduction – Briefly tell about the study and explain why study was done and the research that lead up to it. Statement predicting the outcome of the study. (What did the researchers expect to happen?)

Method – Describe the participants and methods used to perform the research.

Results and Discussion – Describe the results of the experiment. Tell what the Results mean( Did the results support or refute the hypothesis?)

Personal Statement – This is your personal opinion of the work. Should it be repeated/ how can it be improved? What was your overall impression of the work? What are the implications of the study for the practice of counseling psychology?

Overall Assignment Quality – These last four points are to address the holistic quality of the data collection assignment. For example, were your thoughts presented articulately? Was the writing of high quality, interesting and clear, free of grammatical errors.
