 InternationalDisaster Response andEmergencies The purpose of this assignment is for you to think critically about how a National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) could impact your leadership style as an emergency manager in an international event. Think about all of the leadership duties and responsibilities that you studied in this course. There are several challenges that are associated with emergency management locally but also internationally when an international emergency may require your resources or leadership. For this assignment, locate a recent international disaster incident and the emergency management response. Write a report that answers each of the following questions from your perspective as an emergency manager. How does NIMS impact your leadership style as an emergency manager with international operations? How does ICS impact your leadership style as an emergency manager internationally? How will communication between responding agencies to an international disaster be impacted? How can your leadership address the communication issues through your community training and education while working alongside other international emergency management officials? Explain. How will your communications become a critical role in recovery efforts regarding international disaster response efforts? Your assignment should be a minimum of four pages in length (title and reference pages do not count toward meeting the minimum page requirement). You are required to use a minimum of three outside sources, one of which can be your textbook. You should use the Waldorf Online Library for references to support this assignment.
