Coastal Recovery INC, is an outpatient treatment center in Newport Beach California; that focuses on recovery for men. Coastal recovery believes in gender responsive therapy and meeting the client in their needs and where they are at. Coastal Recovery started in 2016 and has now grown to having a detox and residential facility where they use the same philosophy of gender responsive therapy. I interviewed the owner and founder of Coastal Recovery. He has been sobering for twenty years and has always been involved in the community as well as AA. The CEO has also owned sober living homes for fifteen years.
Within the company there has been some problems when it comes to the staff. Since they have grown and have had to hire more clinical staff it has caused some disconnect. The company is working on coming together and having weekly meetings to try to be on the same page. This is why they decided to do team building activities and work on better communication.
Some recommendations I would give for organizational change would be one motivating change; basically, helping staff to be motivated within the company when it comes to change of structure. The second recommendation I would give would be creating vision; by having the main staff create a strong vision for the company and then sharing that vision with the team on how to achieve the vision they have for the organization.

5. Stress can cause a work environment to have both pride and pain, what does your treatment center and company to help eliminate any unwanted stress that your staff may go through?
6. In a new organization there can be many work hassles, what are some ways you and your staff can eliminate “work Hassles”?
7. I have researched your line of work, and the correlation between stress and alcoholism and or drug use. How do you implement into your company to make sure your staff does not relapse or over indulge in using?
8. Does your company offer and stress reduction methods?
9. Women’s health is more susceptible to work stressors then men. Women tend to take more on and have an easier time being burnout. Do you believe and support the importance of staff within your company to take care of themselves first? And what are some ways you communicate that with them?
10. What are the values that your organization holds?
11. How does your company show a sense of community? For example, team orientation, spiritual bond and emotional safety?
12. Everyone comes from various places, how does your treatment center deal with culture differences in a group setting?

14. What are some techniques that can incorporate into the treatment center that would help with team building?
15. What are your next steps to building and growing your treatment center and involve the community around you?
