Scenario #1:

• You are working as a personnel psychologist at a large corporation. You are interested in validating a new personality measure for future use in selection decisions.

 Scenario #2

• You work as the sole human resource manager at a small company with less than 50 employees. Although you do not hire a large amount of individuals every year, you are still interested in testing whether or not the job knowledge test you give to applicants is measuring what it’s supposed to and is a good predictor of performance.

 Scenario #3

• You are working as a personnel psychologist for an organization of roughly 500 employees. You have recently learned that a new measure of intrinsic motivation is supposed to predict job performance and want to use the measure at your organization and validate it immediately.
