Companies spend billions of dollars yearly to ensure customers positively view their products and influence them to buy them.  Some companies, however, resort to trickery or trade secrets to achieve a more impressive-looking product.  These secrets, however, could be considered an unethical practice since they provide false advertising of the actual products for the company, but it is somehow allowed by law.  Observe why companies use these trickery and secretive methods to influence customers to buy the products.  

You will be randomly assigned a set of commercial tricks and secrets to watch.  You will need to watch the videos (as often as needed) and then answer the following questions below.  Remember to answer each question with a complete paragraph or two to get full credit for the assignment.  You can also reference the commercials or find additional commercials to support your ideas, claims, or opinions.  Use APA or MLA guidelines when referencing someone else’s work.

You've been randomly assigned one set of commercials to watch.  Watch the videos (as often as needed), answer the following questions below, and then find a YouTube video to do a comparative analysis. Remember, you should answer each question with a complete paragraph or two to get full credit for the assignment.  You can also reference the commercials or find additional commercials to support your ideas, claims, or opinions.  Use APA or MLA guidelines when referencing someone else’s work.

Questions: 

1. Identify one method or trick of advertising that you were not aware of and describe how it could change how a customer would view the product. 
2. Determine why companies must utilize such trickery to influence customers. Would customers not buy the product if they saw the truth? 
3. Does the trickery hurt the company's image since the products never look as good as the commercial?  Describe the impact on the customers if they know and feel they are being tricked. 

Please note that full explanations should be provided in response to the questions (1 paragraph minimum for each question). The assignment may also include research into the topic or finding another commercial to do a comparative analysis between the commercials. You must provide a reference list for these assignments, including the commercial link.
