· Compare three models of the literature-based approach by stating 2 benefits and 2 challenges of each.
· Describe and explain the importance of the 5 reading components (phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension) in an effective literacy program.
· Define each literary element term. Provide one example of how the literary element might be introduced in a lesson.
