Although children and adolescents have had a lower incidence and fewer severe COVID-19 outcomes

than adults. The pandemic affected them in other aspects such as psychological, social, and academic.

That children face during

COVID-19:

• Pre-exiting conditions.

• Psychological effects due to

isolation.

• Transition to online schools.

• Internet and social media through

online schools and YouTube.

• Television through educational

advertising.

• Health campaigns and flyer in

communities.

The intervention I suggest is to

increase access to telemedicine for

children.

• Short Term: it will benefit 2% of

children exposed to Covid-19.

• Medium Term: it will benefit 24%

of children in the U.S., especially

children in rural areas.

• Long Term: it will benefit all the

children of the world who make up

27% of the population.

After the intervention of Telemedicine,

obesity in American children will

decrease by 19% and will have the

following benefits:

• follow-up appointments

• A primary care physician to monitor

their weight and health.

• Receive nutritional advice

• Strengthens their immune system

• Reduce the risk of contracting viruses

• Additional support from SNAP.

• Preventive action information to avoid

exposure to Covid-19 from the CDC.

• Technology resources such as Zoom

and telemedicine apps.

Every child within New York State must

receive nutritional and psychological

counseling every three months through

telemedicine accompanied by an adult.

This will bring psychological and

nutritional benefits to our children.
