If you are new to using social media, do the following:
Identify the social media venues, purpose, and goals for implementing social media communication.
Develop a timeline for implementing these social media venues in your ministry.
Identify the skills you will need to learn to use social media and add your plan to learn them to the timeline.
Identify the resources you will need for the social media communication to be successful, such as a person responsible for updating blogs, monitoring Twitter, or responding to comments.
If you already utilize social media for ministry purposes, do the following:
Explain how you currently use three types of social media and state the purpose and goals of social media.
Explain the resources that are in place to support the social media.
Explain how you might improve or expand on your current use of social media.
Your final product will be in a Microsoft Word document and be 700–1,000 words in length and should utilize at least two sources from professional literature in your research. Professional literature may include the South University Online Library; relevant textbooks; peer-reviewed journal articles; and websites created by professional organizations, agencies, or institutions (.org or .gov).
Your paper should be written in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; and display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
