Cultural Beliefs
Culture has always been significant in shaping the thinking and beliefs of different people in their lives. Such situations have led to a particular way of thinking and believing among people when focusing on illnesses and their general health(Ortiz, 2020).My cultural background is also significant in this situation, which leads to the presentation of its impact on my practices concerning illnesses, health, and treatments.
The Hispanic cultural beliefs have always included using traditional herbal medicines to treat illnesses among community members (Paudyal et al., 2022). This situation also consists ofthe understanding that a balanced diet is important for people who need to remain healthy. Implications of the belief in my life have included my embracing of healthy living and complementary treatments. I strive to maintain a balanced diet for my wellness and physical activity engagement to remain fit.I also consider such practices natural ways of keeping healthy and avoiding illnesses.
My culture also supports family involvement in the treatment process because of their benefits in ensuring the sick recover (Van Hook & Glick, 2020). Such issues have made me support the treatment of illnesses by involving emotional support systems like friends and family. The caregiving functions among nurses are also achievable through the involvement of such individuals, which makes the treatment process more collaborative. Spirituality is another factor in theculturepractices relating to my beliefs (Ortiz, 2020). The use of spiritual interventions for several illnesses has been part of the culture,leading to my support for prayer involvement when treating patients as the best approach for keeping patients supportive of treatment processes.
In general, the cultural backgrounds of people have an impact on their thinking and development of beliefs. Such a situation contributes to affected health and illness perspectives or promoted treatment of illnesses. Such issues are evident in this context, and they contribute to the understanding that culture is a critical factor in health, diseases, and treatments.
