<<br> 4 Conclusion Statement – Bold the conclusion transition words.

<<br> ? See the “Source Citation Format and Sample” page from the Preliminary Bibliography Module and suggest corrections.
<<br> • Comment on the structure of the summary.
<<br> ? Review the introductory statement.
<<br> ? Comment on the following elements in the introductory statement: author, “title,” journal, and date. Notice the punctuation and italics in the sentence. Each element should be included in a single sentence.
<<br> ? Review the summary thesis.
<<br> ? Comment on the following: The summary thesis should be written separately from the introductory statement. It should include keywords like central message and primary point to communicate that it is the article’s main idea.
<<br> ? Review the transition words in the body of the paragraph.
<<br> ? The transition words should communicate the flow of the article with words like begins, first, then, next, afterward, and finally.
<<br> ? The writer should regularly attribute ideas to the original author to remain in the “objective” tone.
