Four steps are required for full credit for this discussion board.
1. Read Chapter 3 of the textbook. Take your own notes. This complementary chapter is located in the “Textbook” link on Blackboard. Remember, only chapters 1-3 are available on Blackboard, you have to get access to chapters 4-12.
2. read the lecture notes. Go to “Lecture Notes” link on Blackboard, click on the folder titled “ Lecture notes and Supporting Documents” folder and click on Chapter 3 lecture notes folder.
3. Initial Response: Answer the following questions in the Discussion Board link on Blackboard. A minimum of 225 words in your response is required (in other words at least 75-word count for your responses to A, B, and C). Re-read your response prior to submitting, please ensure your response is written in standard English. The initial DB response (answering the faculty’s question) is due Tuesday, 9/26 at 11:59pm.

A. Summarize the Supreme court case. Remember, a Supreme Court case is from the highest court in the U.S. (with the 9 justices), that focus on a Constitutional question. An example of a Supreme Court case is Roe v Wade (students cannot use this example).
B. Identify and explain the Constitutional Amendment that was violated. What is the Constitutional issue? Choose one of the following Constitutional Amendments: First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, or Fourteenth Amendment.
C. Explain the court’s ruling/findings of the case (what is the current policy).
